Accuracy and transparency are fundamental to SaleOye.pk. This page explains how we source our data, our editorial standards, and how we ensure the information you rely on is trustworthy.

Our Data Sources

Every number on SaleOye.pk comes from a verifiable source. We never fabricate data or present estimated figures as real-time without clear labelling.

  • Currency rates:Open exchange rate APIs (e.g. open.er-api.com). Mid-market interbank rates. Updated approximately every 5 minutes when the API is available.
  • Gold prices:Yahoo Finance gold futures (GC=F) and PKR exchange rate conversion. International spot price with local conversion.
  • PSX stock data:Pakistan Stock Exchange official data portal (dps.psx.com.pk). May be delayed by 15+ minutes during trading hours.
  • Remittance rates:Publicly available pricing from Wise, Remitly, Western Union, Xoom, WorldRemit, MoneyGram, and Ria. Checked every 6 hours.
  • Economic indicators:State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Editorial Standards

  • Original content only:All articles and guides on SaleOye.pk are written by our team. We do not aggregate or scrape news from other publishers. Our Market Notes section contains original analysis, not reprinted headlines.
  • Fact-checking:Financial data (exchange rates, fees, statistics) is verified against primary sources before publication. When we make comparisons (e.g. remittance services), we use publicly available pricing and update it regularly.
  • No sponsored content:We do not accept payment for favourable reviews or rankings. Our remittance comparisons are ranked by the total amount the recipient receives, not by affiliate commission.
  • Affiliate disclosure:When you click a link to a remittance service and transact, we may receive a commission at no cost to you. This is clearly disclosed on relevant pages and in our Privacy Policy.
  • Corrections:If we find an error in our content, we correct it promptly and note the change. You can report errors at hello@saleoye.pk.

SaleOye.pk is built and maintained by a small team of overseas Pakistanis with backgrounds in software engineering, finance, and data analysis. We created this platform because we needed it ourselves — and we believe every overseas Pakistani deserves clear, honest financial information.
